The elegant design of Celtic knots is one of our most ancient
forms of symbolism, originating mainly from Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
This form of artwork appeared on stonework, jewellery, and later in manuscripts
such as the famous “Book of Kells”. To this day, the intricate
patterns and designs continue to conjure up mystical images for many
of us.
Irish artist, Martin Doherty, has being creating hand-drawn Celtic knot-work
on tee shirts and wall hangings for several years. Each shirt or wall
hanging is unique, with customers choosing from a range of Celtic designs
and sayings. The artist will then add some smaller designs, thereby ensuring
that the work you order is totally unique to you.
